Welcome to Sled Pull Cash Days
Sled Bandits was born over winter break of 2017-2018. While watching Street Outlaws race on a Monday night, Josh Carter, workstock diesel puller, made a post to Facebook, “I’m sitting here watching Street Outlaws marathon and it’s got me wondering why isn’t there something like cash days for truck pulling, it’d be something different for sure.” The post created a lot of chatter about the birth of such an event and how it would be able to work, pulling after all, is much different than drag racing. The crew at Smoke & Speed got to work on designing a plan for how the event would go, making classes and simplified rulesets, leaving much room for power possibilities. March 22, 2018 rules, classes and event layouts were finally made public. The first event was held in New York on a Friday night in May, the second was held in Ada, Ohio the first weekend in October 2018. With the first year completed, the crew went back and evaluated the ruleset to fix a few issues in some classes. Now as the 2019 season is underway, more excitement is building with much anticipation of who will take home the cash at the Sled Bandits – Sled Pull Cash Days events of 2019!
How the competition works
Each puller will have a buy-in number set for the class/classes they choose to enter. 50% of the buy-in needs to be paid upon pre-registration, the other 50% will be due at registration check-in at the event. Once you enter the class purse will increase by the deposit amount and advertised as “minimum purse payout” for each class. This means you will be guaranteed that money to win even if you’re the only truck to show up at the event. Rainouts and cancellations before 24hrs of event start time will result in full refund. Day of cancellations on our part, will result in full refund of pre-registration fee. No Show or cancellation on your part will be considered a donation towards the class purse, meaning nonrefundable. Trucks may not enter the day of the event. They may enter up to 24hrs prior to the event start. Registration will be available online. We are not responsible for internet or other complications, so please get your registrations in earlier than later. Purse is based on entries, the more entries in a class then the more money will be added to the payout purse.
Buy Backs will be available for anyone who pulled in qualifying and didn’t make it to the final round. You must pull in qualifying, there will be no skipping qualifying to enter the final round.
You must make it into the top 10 to qualify for finals. If there are 2 rounds of qualifying, top 5 from each round will go. If there is only 1 round of qualifying, then top 10 will go from that single round.Winner take all competition. Certain events may choose to increase purse placings by sponsorship money to pay down places, this is at the discretion of event. Buy-in money will be paid to winner only. If you’re not first, you’re last in this competition.

The rules are designed to have many "gray areas" and allow for complete utilization of whatever you implement to make your truck work in producing the most horsepower and torque to get down the track. Most classes are regulated mainly by tires, hitch and weight. This “Outlaw Style” of pulling is exactly what the pulling industry was lacking and now that void has begun to be filled. If you are the type of person who is diehard for a ruleset with cubic inch limits or turbo limitations, this competition is NOT FOR YOU. This event is for those guys that spend much of their pulling career as outcasts, the ones who don’t like limits and who push the envelope to make their machine the optimum performance vehicle. If you’re interested in THAT type of competition, then you’ve come to the right place.
